This cookbook will include some of the recipes y'all have been askin' after, includin' Triple Berry Cherry Pie, Sunday roast, cornbread dressin', Mac and Cheese, homemade rolls, peach cobbler, chicken and dumplins, and Ethel's closely guarded green bean casserole. She said she'd think about that last one. We're takin' that as a yes.

It will also feature recipes and stories submitted by members of the Earl & Ethel community — real families, real kitchens, and real arguments over the last piece.

We're saving a special place in the cookbook for recipes from y'all. Send us a family recipe, your name, your town, and the story behind it. Tell us who taught you, who requests it every holiday, or who fought over the last piece. Selected recipes and stories will be featured in the cookbook, and everyone who submits by September 1, 2026, will have their name included in the back.

One thing, though — send us a real one. A genuine family recipe you've actually cooked, that actually means somethin' to somebody. Not somethin' tossed together just to get a name printed in a book. Ethel can tell the difference, and she surely will.

Submitting a recipe does not guarantee that the complete recipe will be featured. Only selected recipes and stories will receive a full feature. Everyone who submits a genuine family recipe by the deadline will have their name included in the back of the book. Purchase is not required to submit a recipe.

One more thing, since these names are goin' into a real book that real families will read: we reserve the right to leave out any name or submission we find inappropriate. Ethel has final say on that, and she is not the least bit shy about usin' it.
